New Altium TASKING VX-toolset for GTM v3.3r1 gets market prepared for next generation of GTM IP
Amersfoort, Netherlands - July 31, 2019 — Altium announces the release of the new TASKING VX-toolset for GTM v3.3r1, which is a stand-alone TASKING C compiler toolset that has been enhanced to support the BOSCH GTM-IP MCS version 3.x as well as the upcoming version 4.x.
SoC devices supporting the GTM core are available from Infineon, STMicroelectronics, Renesas and NXP. The GTM core is especially beneficial in automotive powertrain and active safety applications which require accurate multi-input data acquisition and multi-output signal generation. The MCSs powerful programmability due to its high-level language (C) support allows to generate virtually any output signal shape. Multiple MCS programming channels can act in parallel, while still ensuring synchronous signal generation, without using performance from the main CPU.
The TASKING C Compiler provides market leading performance, on par with or outperforming hand crafted assembly code. Feel free to contact us for an extensive test with your use case.
The TASKING VX-toolset for GTM v3.3r1 can be used in combination with TASKING as well as third party compilers to program the other cores of the SoC which interact with the GTM. The GTM compiler output is available in ELF/DWARF format for debugging, C-array format for interoperability with third party compiler tools, and in HEX format.
Besides support for the GTM IP v4.x, the new version provides enhanced functionalities for safety critical software development, and the instruction set simulator & debugger that comes with the toolset now facilitates the simultaneous debugging of code executing on multiple MCS channels.
More details on new features and improvements in the TASKING VX-toolset for GTM v3.3r1 are available in the support page.
